No All-Inclusive Options for Aussie Cruisers
Carnival Cruise Line has recently introduced two new all-inclusive packages designed to enhance the cruising experience, yet Australian passengers are once again left out of the fun. Carnival’s Essential Value Package and Ultimate Value Package promise a wealth of benefits, but Aussie cruisers received the disappointing news that these offers are not available to them. Carnival ambassador John Heald delivered the much-dreaded line: 'Apologies that at the moment this is not available for savings from Australia.'
The New Packages Explained
The two packages are geared towards making cruising more inclusive. The Essential Value Package, priced at USD $50 (approximately AUD $75) per day, includes non-alcoholic drinks, a basic Wi-Fi package, and discounts on shore excursions and dining. On the other hand, the Ultimate Value Package, costing USD $90 (around AUD $135) per day, expands the offerings to include alcoholic beverages and premium Wi-Fi access. Each package encourages passengers to pre-book various services, promoting greater savings and convenience.
Aussie Cruisers Feel Left Behind
Recent trends show that Australians are gradually being excluded from new Carnival offerings. Previous instances include limited options for alcohol-free drinks, missing perks from newly introduced ships, and a general lack of tailored sailings for the Australian market. This ongoing trend of exclusion raises questions about Carnival's commitment to the Australian market and its cruisers.
A Call for Inclusivity in Cruise Offerings
If Carnival wants to keep its Australian customers engaged and loyal, it will need to prioritize inclusivity in its promotions. With Aussies repeatedly sidelined, there is a growing sense of frustration among the cruising community. As the cruise line continues to roll out new packages in markets like the USA and Europe, it's time for Carnival to consider a more global approach that includes all its cruise enthusiasts, regardless of their location.
