This remarkable ship has officially begun its winter sailing season, offering both six- and eight-day Caribbean itineraries starting Sunday, November 30, 2025. This launch marks a significant upgrade from the previous offerings at the port and highlights the growing importance of Port Canaveral as a prime embarkation point for cruise enthusiasts.

Following the successful homeporting of the Caribbean Princess, which operated from Port Canaveral last year, the addition of Sky Princess paves the way for an expanded selection of cruise journeys in the region. According to Port Canaveral CEO, Capt. John Murray, the partnership with Princess Cruises has yielded excellent results, showcasing the potential of the port.
“Princess Cruises is a valued partner, and we’re very proud of their success sailing from our Port,” said Murray. This partnership is particularly beneficial for local businesses and tourism growth. As the Royal-class ship welcomes more passengers, it is expected to further boost the local economy.
Itineraries Offering Excitement and Convenience
Travelers now have a plethora of options, as Sky Princess will operate a variety of itineraries through mid-March 2026, including stops in stunning destinations such as Grand Turk, San Juan, St. Maarten, and St. Thomas on the longer voyages, and Nassau and Amber Cove on shorter trips. These itineraries make it easy for guests to curate back-to-back sailings, allowing for a seamless and extensive cruising experience without repeating destinations.
Jim Berra, Chief Commercial Officer at Princess Cruises, emphasized the strategic relevance of this homeport as travelers increasingly look for convenience combined with cruise experience.
