A Taste of Change: New Dining Options on Carnival Ships
Exciting transformations are taking place aboard the Carnival Encounter and Carnival Adventure as Carnival Cruise Line unveils its new dining options. The popular Fahrenheit 555 steakhouse and Bonsai Sushi Express are making the jump into these vessels, replacing lukewarm venues that cruisers had grown tired of. As these ships undergo their dry dock refurbishment, both ships look set to boost their culinary appeal.
Why Are the Changes Happening?
The recent dining shifts are part of Carnival's effort to enhance the guest experience on their Australian-based ships. With Carnival Encounter currently docked in Singapore and Carnival Adventure scheduled for a makeover in early 2027, these changes aim to provide guests with a more comprehensive taste of Carnival’s premier offerings. The new Fahrenheit 555 will replace Luke's Bar and Grill, bringing a beloved steakhouse renowned for its premium beef cuts, seafood dishes, and an elegant wine list.
What Diners Can Expect
Carnival’s new additions are set to usher in a refreshing dining atmosphere for all aboard. Fahrenheit 555, famous for its exceptional menu, comes with an additional charge of $77 AUD (around $55 USD) per person, marking the transition to a premium dining experience. In addition to the steakhouse, the lineup now includes Bonsai Sushi Express, where guests can enjoy freshly prepared sushi and sashimi—a fantastic grab-and-go option for a casual snack.
Returning to Basics: What Won't Change
While some changes are applauded, not all requests from cruisers have been met. The loved 24/7 pizza and ice cream service will be absent, with Carnival deciding to stick with the limited times of 11am to 4pm for pizza and ice cream from New Zealand Ice Creamery, a decision that disappointed many. Carnival's Assistant Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Anton Loeb, stated, "While we’re excited to bring new dining experiences to our ships, we appreciate that not all changes will be welcomed with open arms."
Community Buzz: Feedback from Cruisers
Social media buzz indicates mixed feelings among loyal cruisers about these changes. Some customers have expressed discontent regarding the removal of fan favorites, while others are enthusiastic about trying out the new specialty burger venue, Carnival Topside Grill. The anticipation hangs thick in the air as seasoned cruisers make their way toward the new dining options for their next adventure at sea.
